We're back and we've helped make History!

Chalke Valley History Festival Glamping

Last weekend was a special one for Honeybells team. The reason? Simple, it was the first event/festival that we've been a part of since 2019. It was a feeling that we've really missed and to see the legendary Chalke Valley History Festival site come to life around us, as we finished preparing our luxury bell tents in the beautiful Dorset sunshine, was just splendid.

The craziness of this situation has become even more evident whilst writing this down, but like thousands of other businesses working in the events, leisure and hospitality industries, this has been a demoralising reality. Enough doom and gloom! We're back and again, it was genuinely amazing to once again be out in a field, putting up our glorious bell tents that were to be enjoyed by festivalgoers for the first time in approximately 18 months.

The aim of the Chalke Valley History Festival is to 'excite, enthral and entertain about the past'. 'With all the proceeds from the festival have, since 2012, been directed to the Chalke Valley History Trust, which promotes the understanding of history to all ages, but especially children'. This is mentioned as it really does personify the friendly and passionate atmosphere that engulfs you when you enter the Chalke Valley History Festival site, it really is a unique event and the Honeybells team loved every second of being there.

Glamping at Chalke Valley History Festival

Holding the title of the largest festival dedicated entirely to history, the Chalke Valley History Festival has achieved a great deal since the festival's inception in 2011. With the Daily Mail newspaper coming on as the festival's principal sponsor in 2013, the event has gone from strength to strength and has attracted a host of talented individuals to speak and educate guests over the years. There are too many speakers to list but if you're interested, you can see all of them at www.cvhf.org.uk/previous-speakers/.

If the Chalke Valley History Festival sounds like something of interest (which it should) and you'd like to attend in the future, visit their website or click on the following link: https://cvhf.org.uk/. Likewise, if you'd like to stay at the festival in real style, you can contact the festival or Honeybells directly to enquire about Glamping options. We'd love to see you all there!

We'll leave you with this closing sentiment, from the Chalke Valley History Festival themselves; "our festival is an intimate but involving celebration of history, and one we hope that you are never too young nor to enjoy".
